Live Stream Tips: How To Speak Confidently And Excitedly On Camera

The first thing people think of when they start to consider live streaming is how to speak confidently on camera. The fear of embarassing themselves actually hold people back from starting their career in live streaming.

Good thing Owen Video and Digital Strategist Sebastian Rusk know how to appear confident on camera for an awesome show!

How To Speak Confidently To Attract Your Target Viewers

When you’re live streaming, it’s important to retain the attention of your audience. Even when you have an intensely interesting topic, if your delivery falls short, people will switch to something else.

Demand the attention of your viewers!

Be more exciting and sound more confident when you go live!

Fortunately, public speaking can be learned and taught and there are expereinced live streamers who can help you how to sound better as a host. Join Live Video Growth Coach Owen Video and Digital Strategist Sebastian Rusk as they talk about confidence and how to be more excited on your LIVE Show!

Study the Experts

To start your journey towards a more confident live streamer, you need to check on the people who are doing okay and learn from them.

How are they entertaining? How are they able to command the crowd’s attention? Check on how they are delivering their message so that you yourself can share yours with confidence.

You should not copy someone else, but you can take a thing or two from someone and then another thing or two from someone else and then make those traits or style yours.

Try 0% Planning to Avoid Analysis Paralysis

Take your phone out and record something. Open up your laptop and start steaming. If you’re waiting to develop the perfect live stream show, just push the button and start.

You will fail, you will make mistakes, but you will also learn. You will find out what is funny, what works for your audience, and what is entertaining or not for your show.

Of course there are some things you shouldn’t do on a live stream but once you’ve got those out of the way, you can start broadcasting with ease.

I’m Not You, but You Are You!

If you are thinking, “but I’m not you. I’m not an extrovert or energetic!” you are right. However, you are you and you have a certain ability inside you that will make you shine. You have something about you that will draw people to your show if you just let yourself go and allow yourself to shine on your live stream.

Once you’ve discovered who that person inside of you is, you start acting and speaking more confidently. It’s not just about learning how to project your voice in the literal sense. It’s mostly about believing in yourself and, more importantly, your message.

Rev Up Your Energy

The day might not be turning out how you want it to be, but your audience doesn’t know that. You need to find ways to give yourself the energy to run your show and make it awesome.

Try to improve your disposition by doing things that can raise your energy like:

  • Listening to music
  • Working out before your show
  • Dancing
  • Drinking a cup of coffee

No matter what it is, as long as it amps up your energy, make sure to do it so you can go to your show with as much life and panache as you can.

Practice makes perfect and what better way to do this than by going live consistently! Award-winning networking coach Ray Higdon went live EVERY DAY for years to gain more confidence and establish his relationship with his audience. You can try that as well!
