The BeLive.tv team launched a proposal open to all their users giving us the opportunity to share our experience and opinions we have thus far about BeLive. What you will read next is just that: my experience with BeLive.tv.
BeLive is the Solution That I Needed
My company has been dedicated to making videos, mainly via live stream, since 2013. Formerly with other platforms, and since 2015, specifically HoyStreaming. Our two main activities include:
- Broadcasting of events, conferences, training, etc.
- Creation and streaming of a large number of programs with the format interview or colloquium by videoconference.
Most of our videos and streams were done through YouTube, but we discovered that being able to use a platform through Facebook would be much more successful. The only problem with using Facebook was that we needed to find a platform that would allow three things:
- Connect with anyone in the world and broadcast the conversation on streaming on Facebook.
- Could be more than 2 people simultaneously.
- Ease of use for our guests.
BeLive was the great find for us. I fulfilled the three minimum conditions while also having very interesting new functions and formats to work with, a variety of options that we previously could not put into practice with Hangouts or any other platform.
- We can show comments from viewers in the video.
- We can have our script prepared in the “agenda” section.
- We can show labels under each guest with your name, position, company, etc.
- Several template options.
- Show the reactions in the video itself.
- Customize our programs with the logo, corporate colors, texts, etc.
The same day that I registered for the platform, I created my first broadcast. I could not believe that in just an hour I would have learned all the basics I needed to know in order to successfully go live.
Goodbye Hangouts Hello Belive
Hangouts and YouTube have been left in the past. Today, BeLive is the only live streaming platform that works for me, a decision that was made pretty clear ever since that first live stream, which I even analyzed in one of my blog posts (written in Spanish). I was so excited about finding BeLive that I even explained it in a live stream made on BeLive at the time of publishing the article.
On the HoyStreaming Facebook fan page, you will find that many of these videos were made mostly using content from WordPress, marketing, entrepreneurs, etc. There are many other videos in which my image, and even brand logo, would not appear.
These functions, very similar to functions on professional television casts, are made possible with BeLive. The broadcast area is occupied by the host and his guests. I (the host) am able to manage the connections, lights, screen shares, images, etc. all behind the scenes. The professionality of it is something you can’t find anywhere else.
BeLive is Really Easy to Use
It’s simple: BeLive is the best easy-to-learn streaming tool I’ve seen so far. For my work I use/have used a large number of platforms, professional software systems, professional editing programs, a good number of free tools, but none were ever as easy to use as BeLive. I have liked it so much, and I found it so interesting, that I even wrote a “BeLive Step by Step Tutorial in Spanish” that teaches you how to use the platform in less than 10 minutes.

BeLive es la Solución Que Yo Necesitaba
Mi empresa está dedicada a la realización de vídeo, especialmente emisiones en streaming, desde 2013. Antes con la marca HangoutON y desde 2015 con la marca HoyStreaming. Aunque hacemos muchas cosas relacionadas con el vídeo, hay dos que ocupan casi toda nuestra actividad:
- Emisión en streaming de eventos, conferencias, formación, etc.
- Realización y emisión en streaming de un gran número de programas con el formato entrevista o coloquio por videoconferencia.
La mayoría de nuestros programas se realizaban a través de YouTube pero descubrimos que esos formatos en Facebook tenían mucho más éxito.
El problema para hacerlo en Facebook era encontrar una plataforma que permitiera tres cosas:
- Conectar con cualquier persona el el mundo y emitir la conversación en streaming en Facebook.
- Que pudieran ser más de 2 personas de forma simultánea.
- Facilidad de uso para nuestros invitados.
Y BeLive ha sido el gran descubrimiento para nosotros. Cumplía las tres condiciones mínimas y además tenía cosas nuevas realmente interesantes:
- Podemos mostrar los comentarios de los espectadores en el vídeo.
- Podemos tener nuestro guión preparado en el apartado “agenda”.
- Podemos mostrar rótulos bajo cada invitado con su nombre, cargo, empresa, etc.
- Varias plantillas de realización.
- Mostrar las reacciones en el propio vídeo.
- Personalizar nuestros programas con el logo, colores corporativos, textos, etc.
Una gran variedad de opciones que antes no podíamos poner en práctica con los Hangouts, ni con ninguna otra herramienta en los formatos de entrevista.
El mismo día que me registré en la plataforma realicé mi primer programa en directo. No podía creerme que en apenas una hora hubiera aprendido todo lo básico de la herramienta.
Adiós Hangouts Hola Belive
Lo tuve claro desde que lo descubrí. Los hangouts y YouTube se habían quedado en un segundo plano para mí. Mi apuesta segura es ahora BeLive y Facebook.
Una decisión que tuve clara desde ese primer directo y que analicé en este artículo en uno de mis blogs (en español). Estaba tan entusiasmado que también lo expliqué con un streaming realizado con BeLive en el momento de publicar el artículo. Por cierto, fue muy divertido publicar un artículo, al mismo tiempo que realizas el streaming contando las cosas del propio artículo que has escrito y justo publicas en ese momento.
Ahora, con más de cien programas realizados con BeLive tengo claro que mi apuesta es ganadora. En la página de HoyStreaming en Facebook puedes ver muchos de estos vídeos, la mayoría con contenido sobre WordPress, marketing, emprendedores, etc.
Hay otros muchos vídeos en los que no aparece mi imagen, ni siquiera mi marca, son los que hago habitualmente para personas o marcas que prefieren dejar la parte técnica a otra persona, y ellos se centran en el mensaje.
Estos trabajos, muy parecidos al trabajo en televisión, son perfectamente posibles con BeLive. La zona de emisión la ocupa el anfitrión y sus invitados; mientras yo me ocupo de gestionar las conexiones, luces, compartir pantallas, imágenes, etc. Realmente es hacer televisión a distancia en Facebook.
BeLive es Realmente Fácil de Usar
Es así de claro: BeLive es la herramienta de streaming más fácil de aprender que he visto hasta ahora.
En mi trabajo utilizo un gran número de plataformas, software profesional de realización; programas profesionales de edición; también un buen número de herramientas gratuitas, pero ninguna tan fácil de aprender como BeLive.
Esta herramienta me gustó tanto, y me pareció tan interesante para todos, que escribí un “Tutorial paso a paso BeLive en español” que realmente te enseña a usar la plataforma en menos de 10 minutos.
